The North Carolina Tar Heels have just one commitment in the 2026 recruiting class, with the chance to add another potentially in a few weeks. But the work for the 2027 class is underway as well.
On Monday, the top player in the 2027 class was in Chapel Hill for a visit as C.J. Rosser took in North Carolina’s big win over East Carolina. Rosser is a North Carolina native who plays at Southeastern Prep in Orlando but is back for the John Wall Holiday Invitational. Following that visit to Chapel Hill, Rosser dished on his visit to North Carolina and what he likes about the program.
Here is what Rosser told Travis Branham about the visit:
“It went really well,” Rosser said of his visit to check out UNC. “I enjoyed it a whole lot — the atmosphere and the crowd going and everything like that. I really like their playing style.”
Growing up in North Carolina, Rosser is familiar with the Tar Heel program but came away impressed with some of the things he learned while on campus and around the program. When I went to the game, I was focused on their play style and the coaching staff,” Rosser explained. “I like coaches that will really make me feel at home and a school that can make me feel at home. Their play style was fast with a lot of motion.”
There’s a long way to go in Rosser’s recruitment, but it’s good news that the visit seemed to go well. Being the No. 1 overall recruit, he has a lot of teams interested including Kentucky, Kansas, and Arkansas, among others right now.
Rosser will likely take more visits over the next several months.
