Latest Liverpool news and gossip as Trent Alexander-Arnold sends a message to Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham after being unavailable for England duty with a knee injury
Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has sent a message to Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham as he continues his recovery from injury.
Alexander-Arnold has not played for the Reds since February 10, when he was substituted at half-time against Burnley. The game was the first time in a month that the right-back had started a game after recovering from a knee injury.
However, Alexander-Arnold suffered a similar injury against the Clarets and has been in recovery ever since. He has missed 12 games due to the injury since early January, including the Carabao Cup final win over Chelsea.
There is hope that Alexander-Arnold could return soon after the international break. For now, though, the Liverpool vice-captain remains on the sidelines in recovery.
Another consequence of the injury is Alexander-Arnold being absent from the England squad. The Three Lions have friendly matches against Brazil and Belgium. where the Liverpool star would likely have been involved had he been available.
Bellingham posted a message on his Instagram story for Alexander-Arnold. The post included a photo of the Real Madrid star alongside former Reds captain Jordan Henderson and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison.
