Trent kone-Doherty has signed his first professional contract with Liverpool FC.The 17-year-old joined the Reds from hometown club Derry City last July.
He was a winger with both skill and speed. He had a solid first season for Merseyside’s Under-18s, scoring 11 goals, including three in the UEFA Youth League, but his season ended prematurely due to injury.
He began the 2023/24 season in similar form, making his U21 debut against Derby County in August and continued to impress for the U18s, scoring a hat-trick against Sunderland earlier this month. Kone-Doherty trained with Jurgen Klopp’s senior squad and gained international recognition with Ireland Under-18s.
