The next couple of months will be big for the North Carolina Tar Heels’ basketball program. Not only do they officially begin the Michael Malone era on the court, but also on the recruiting trail.
This Fall will mark the first stretch of months where Malone and his staff will host recruits for official visits in future classes. The Tar Heels turned in a good 2026 class; however, the 2027 class will be the first one he’s really had his hands on fully. And recently, the Tar Heels have received some good news regarding one target they are after.
Five-star point guard Nasir Anderson has cut his list of 33 offers down to 10 schools he will be focusing on. He announced that he is focusing on Kentucky, North Carolina, UConn, Providence, Syracuse, Indiana, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound guard hails from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and plays at Prolific Prep. He’s ranked No. 8 nationally, No. 3 point guard, and the No. 5 player in the state of Florida per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
