The recruiting cycle continues this Fall as plenty of recruits will go on visits to programs. For the North Carolina Tar Heels, this will be a huge recruiting cycle, as it’s the first under new head coach Michael Malone.
The future of the program starts with the 2027 and 2028 classes, and UNC will host a few different recruits on campus. More visits will come as the weeks go on but as of now, there’s one top recruiting target who doesn’t have a visit to UNC scheduled.
On Thursday, five-star 2028 recruit Brady Pettigrew revealed he has scheduled five official visits for the Fall and Winter. Pettigrew is set to visit Michigan (Sept. 12), Florida (Sept. 25), Illinois (Oct. 2), Ohio State (Nov. 6) and Arkansas (Jan. 1).
Despite having an offer from UNC, he does not currently have a visit scheduled to Chapel Hill. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound combo guard hails from Illinois. He’s ranked No. 18 nationally, the No. 1 combo guard, and No. 1 player in the state of Illinois per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
Pettigrew is one of four players in the 2028 class to have an offer from North Carolina.
