Alexis McAllister, Dominic Soboslay, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenbirch have all contributed significantly to the Reds’ encouraging start to the 2023/24 season. An example of this came in Thursday’s Europa League match against Toulouse.
Endo broke his scoring record and Gravenberg also scored as man of the match. Assessing the quartet ahead of Sunday’s game against Nottingham Forest, Van Dijk wrote: “One of the most positive things about the season has been the way the new players have shaped up.
Dominic, Alexis, Wataru and Ryan are players with different personalities, but they came to the club in their own way and have adapted without too much fuss.
“I think one of the reasons is that we are a welcoming club. But even so, there must be people who have a positive attitude and want to participate.“It’s only the end of October, so it’s important to remember that no matter how well new students settle in, they’re still finding their feet.
It is up to all of us to continue to give them the support and encouragement they need.”We left a good impression as individuals and as a group and I hope that continues for a long time.”
