Reds fans are known for their passion and loyalty, supporting both Jurgen Klopp and Matt Bird on Merseyside and watching from afar.

The We Love You Liverpool feature aims to bring fans together, wherever they are in the world, to learn more about each other. Whether in the UK and Ireland, Merseyside, North or South America, Europe, Africa, Asia or Australia, the fans are the foundation of any club.

Here we meet OLSC Edmonton…Our OLSC has grown over the years into a small group of Liverpool fans who gather to watch the games in various pubs around Edmonton.

As the numbers grew, we decided we had enough fans subscribing to make it official. We have a great cafe at home, a great red family of all ages and currently have over 250 paying members.

How special is it to have a fan club where you live?

Having a fan club is very important to us. Not only do we enjoy all that Liverpool has to offer, but it also gives us a platform to help others in the local community through our charity work, which we are very proud of.

Should it provide a sense of community and connection to Liverpool and the club itself?Being a member of OLSC makes you feel closer to the club itself.

Being part of the International Red family is very special and allows us to bring other OLSC fans to the games. I have also been to several OLSCs and made friendships that would never have happened without LFC.

Supporting Liverpool is special to our members as we all have a story of how our LFC journey began. For some it’s been generations and their families have been fans for decades, for others it’s that night in Istanbul or the day Steven Gerrard’s genius was recognised. These are all great stories to share.

Do you host gatherings for games or special events throughout the year?

90% of the games take place at our headquarters, the Cabin Pub. Due to the time difference, we miss out on watching the 12:30 GMT match together.

Because it’s 5:30 and winter is coming to Alberta!Past activities for members include bowling, summer barbecues, Christmas parties, cooking hot meals for the homeless community and volunteering at local food banks.

Has OLSC ever visited Anfield?

We have also had many members visit Liverpool or Anfield Castle. They toured the stadium, saw the murals, toured the city and made some great friends. What is your fondest memory as an OLSC?

Our group’s favorite memories are of course the cup finals, but for us it’s celebrating the Champions League semi-final against Barcelona and winning the final in Madrid with 350 home fans. the cafe.

Off the pitch, our best relationships are through charity work for the local community in Edmonton and fundraising for charities in Liverpool. At OLSC we clearly value the Liverpool Way.
