LASK Linz coach Thomas Sageder says he is confident of his side’s chances against Liverpool in the Europa League at Anfield on Thursday.
The bottom team from the group will face the leader in the final match between the two teams in the Europa League group stage. Both men have what it takes to win the match.
If they avoid defeat on Thursday, United will move into the top two. LASK Linz, on the other hand, must avoid defeat to keep their hopes alive.
The LASK Linz coach says he remains optimistic his side will stand a chance against Jurgen Klopp’s men, despite accepting the difficult nature of the task.
“Our levels are different, but we always think we have a chance to take something home,” Sageder said in an interview with German magazine Kicker.
“We want to demand everything from Liverpool.” Commenting on the nature of the game against the Premier League giants, Sageder added: “This is a great game for our team and the whole club and we are all looking forward to it.”
Liverpool won 3-1 in the last meeting between the two sides in September, but the Austrian side will be looking to produce a famous comeback at Anfield.
