Thomas Frank praised Liverpool star Mohamed Salah after his Brentford side saw Egypt shine on Sunday.
Salah scored twice in the Reds’ 3-0 Premier League win at Anfield, taking his tally to 12 goals in all competitions this season and becoming the first player in Liverpool’s history to score in the first six home rounds of a competitive match.
Afterwards, Brentford manager Frank was full of praise for the Reds’ number 11.”Mo Salah, [Jurgen] Klopp praises him a lot, but I don’t know if he gets enough praise,” he said in his post-match press conference.
“I think he can be the best player in the Premier League in terms of goals and assists. It’s really top notch!”He should be one of the best strikers in the world, top three, not top ten.
“So when you have a player of that caliber, you know there’s a problem.
“Regarding Salah’s goal, Frank added: “The second goal is not a good performance defensively, but the first goal is a solid attack from Liverpool.
Deflect, Counterattack, Shot, Salah, Goal. “But not all players score in this situation. This shows the quality.”
