UNC basketball will open the 2026 ACC Tournament against Clemson on Thursday, March 12 (9:30 p.m., ESPN), at Spectrum Center in Charlotte.
The 19th-ranked Tar Heels (24-7) enter the 73rd edition of the postseason event as the No. 4 seed, hoping to make a run without injured freshman star Caleb Wilson. The fifth-seeded Tigers (23-9) earned a 71-62 win against No. 13 seed Wake Forest (17-16) on Wednesday, March 11, to secure a spot in the quarterfinals.
UNC is 50-14 in the quarterfinals, but has lost its last three games as a No. 4 seed. The Tar Heels have a 15-1 record against Clemson in the ACC tournament and had a 67-63 win against the Tigers in the regular season.
Luka Bogavac led the Tar Heels with a season-high 20 points, including a season-best six 3-pointers, against Clemson. The Tigers were led by RJ Godfrey, who had 22 points and nine rebounds at the Smith Center.
