Former Liverpool star James Milner has spoken about his time at the club, particularly under manager Jurgen Klopp.
The former England international enjoyed success with the club, winning most of the trophies.
After five years at Manchester City, Milner joined Liverpool on a free transfer in 2015 and won the Premier League twice.
His move to the Reds was a call from former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, who was replaced by Jurgen Klopp after just four months.
Milner has been a key player for Klopp during his time at the club and his versatility has helped him secure a place in the squad.
The Englishman has been deployed in every position: right back, left back, midfielder and even wings when needed. James Milner told the High Performance podcast that he did not hear the Germany coach’s comments midway through the match.
He praised Jurgen Klopp’s remarkable mistake but recalled an incident in which the former Borussia Dortmund manager silenced Klopp for trying to speak his mind at half-time.
“He’s not good enough to share half your feelings!” I remember one time he said something to me and when I put mine back he said, “Please shut the f**k up!” I cried, but Jürgen was a great, wonderful man.
The 37-year-old has made 332 appearances for Manchester United, the most for any club in his career. Liverpool won the league title, FA Cup, League Cup and Community Shield during his time at Anfield.
They have also won the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Liverpool failed to finish in the top four last season and many believed they had lost momentum under Jurgen Klopp.
However, the manager tweaked the kit to get maximum results and the players responded brilliantly. Liverpool beat Crystal Palace to top the Premier League for the first time this season.
In addition to time. The Reds are just one point ahead of second-placed Arsenal after 16 games. Klopp’s men face Manchester United in the Championship and will be looking to further extend their lead in the table.
They are winning at the same level they were at the height of their rivalry with Manchester City and chasing the title.
