The hunt continues for the individual accountable for the deadly shooting, occurring at approximately 12:13 a.m. outside Brook’s Inner City Sports on Topeka Boulevard’s 100 block. Law enforcement reports the victim, a man, was discovered in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds.
The area was marked by over a dozen evidence indicators, showing scattered bullet casings on the ground. The sports facility’s roll-up steel door and the building’s side were marred with bullet holes.
Residents Susie and Edward Coronado, residing nearby, recounted hearing the gunfire while preparing for bed. Susie expressed sorrow for the loss of life and the family’s grief, yet she also expressed gratitude for their safety.
As of 5 p.m. Friday, the Bexar County Medical Examiner had not released the victim’s identity. A friend of the victim, reminiscing about their shared experiences since middle school, visited the site to pay respects.

SAN ANTONIO — A spontaneous tribute now occupies space outside an indoor basketball court on the southern side of San Antonio following the shooting death of a man in his mid-20s early Friday morning.
“It’s extremely sorrowful, very, very sorrowful. He was akin to my younger sibling,” expressed a friend of the victim who preferred not to disclose their identity. “It caught me off guard.”
